Membership

 

Every year we have to raise almost £1000 to rent the courts from Gloucester City Council and pay for their maintenance.  If we don’t raise the money, they have the right to remove the fences and make the land available to the general public. The site is a registered ancient monument and can never be converted into parking; however it could be used as a general recreational area.
 
To be able to join the club you must live in either Kingsholm Square or Edwy Parade, Gloucester (or in close proximitly with committee agreement).  Family membership entitles you and your family/household to access the courts and play as much tennis as you like from May until it closes in September.  There is no additional court fee - you can play as often as there are courts available, or simply sit and enjoy the view.

 

Whether you play tennis or not, please help us by joining the club. Your contribution goes towards keeping the fences up and protecting this beautiful and valuable asset outside your front door.  And of course for the more energetic, unlimited tennis throughout the summer!
